Another Creation

I’m really loving Pastels (but this is a ‘writing’ page, or supposed to be) and will get back into writing soon, I promise myself, well I have been editing ‘Albert’ who I haven’t looked at for ages, very interesting to look at a piece you’ve written ages ago with new eyes- soooo many things wrong with it, but slowly slowly it will come together, I’ll post it as soon as!! This week hopefully. Need to keep visualising myself at my writing desk, and I’m sure it will happen.

A n y w a y…here is the latest Pastel- another flower, with perspective, managing to gain some insight into going from drawing the shapes first then bring the impressionistic Pastel strokes/techniques onto the page- thanks to Carolyn’s (tutor, mentioned in previous blog with link attached) patience and kindness at my frustration (read: tantrum!!), which is the point where I feel the ‘leaps’ happen most profoundly, do you agree? Its like just before the  leap, when your stomach churns, then the net appears, yes?

Congratualtions Jules, this is truly beautiful – you are truly talented despite your frustrations 🙂

  2. Thanks EllaDee, I really love it, and wish I had even more time, though I’ve shortened my work week so you’d think I’d have more time to write and draw- gotta structure my week better and more efficiently !! How is your writing going!!??

  3. You’ll have to make your blog a writing and painting blog! Love seeing your beautiful creations. Hope you keep showing them to us.

What a lovely comment, thank you!! Yes, its more about drawing these days than writing!!!!
Its time as well, which gets in the way of writing AND I’m really good at procrastinating!!! (it seems to be a them at the moment)
